Bio
Grammy-nominated bassist, Josh Hoag has been a fixture in Austin’s music scene for over 20 years. Known for his soulful performances and precise rhythm, he has performed with legends like Willie Nelson, the Avett Brothers, Lyle Lovett, Paul Simon, George Strait, and James Taylor.
Josh has also collaborated with many top Austin acts, including Asleep at the Wheel, Hot Club of Cowtown, Delbert McClinton, and Jimmie Vaughan. He’s currently performing with Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys, Jason Roberts Band, Brennen Leigh, Katie Shore, Pendulum Hearts and Bruce Robison.
He has played iconic venues like the Ryman, Red Rocks, and Lincoln Center, and appeared at major festivals such as Jazz Fest, Austin City Limits, and Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival.
